Cold Water Steeping Instructions

Making iced tea is a pretty simple process, steep it hot then chill.水出し
However, what happens when you don’t steep it hot first? A slightly sweeter taste. Here’s how.

Water amount: about 2 liters / 4 pints
Water temperature: cold to room temperature
Tea leaves amount: 8 grams or 1.5 tablespoons

Instructions:

  1. If you have a tea bag, place the leaves inside the tea bag.
  2. Place the tea bag (or tea leaves) inside your container
  3. Fill with water.
  4. Let sit for 30 minutes – 6 hours inside the refrigerator. (No need to remove the leaves if you can pour without problems.)
  5. Drink within 2 days. (It may start to go bad after 3 days, so we say 2 days to be safe.)
