10-postcard pack. Postcards feature photographs of Japan taken by Thomas Koehler.

Introducing Mr. Thomas Koehler of Switzerland. Mrs. Uneme Tokuko, an Obubu Owner living in Kyoto, has been helping Thomas with his project, Walk for Japan, and introduced us to him.

Thomas is a diehard tea lover, and having found a kindred spirit in Obubu, has asked us to help him sell Walk for Japan Postcards. The postcards were made by Thomas from photographs taken during his 5-month trek.

Proceeds from these postcards will go towards supporting Obubu's Tohoku Tea Relief Caravan and other social contribution efforts Obubu undertakes, particularly those involving children. Shipping calculated separately. Deliveries begin January 20, 2012.

Alternatively, a small 500 yen donation is also possible here.

About Thomas Koehler and his walk through Japan

Mr.Koehler has long loved Japan. As a travel agent in Switzerland he was in charge of the Japan tourism department. After the Great Tohoku Earthquake & Tsunami, in an effort to bring tourists back to Japan, Thomas set out on Aug. 1, 2011, on a 5-month walk from the northernmost point of Japan at Cape Soya in Hokkaido to the southernmost point at Cape Sata in Kagoshima (See Google Map).

Finishing in on New Year's Eve, 2011, Thomas kept a journal of his adventure at http://www.japanfenster.ch/japantrip/en/ generating over 130,000 visitors. A lover of tea, he was inspired by Obubu's Tea Caravan, and hopes to reach out to tea lovers around the world to support the relief effort.

Walking Through Japan is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Japan, Japan Airlines and has been covered widely by news media.
